BTL (Bilateral Tubal Ligation) experience

Hi, I'm a loving mother with 3 children my eldest is 17, second is 13 years old (PWD)person with disability and my youngest is 6 years old.
What decides me to undergo this family planning is of course it's a decision made by my husband and I. Previously taking my family planning which is pills that I got free from Barangay clinic every month. Then I saw the announcement BTL free first come first serve but you should have your recent family planning method to ensure that your not pregnant.

On February 21, 2017, my husband accompanied me at the center and we arrived at 8:00 am and got my number 9 on the list out of 16 mother's but I saw that the list only are 15 all then I ask the secretary how come that the first person to come inside was not on the list tsk... tsk .. then she explains that person is special because she is personally known by the doctor.
Oh well, what can we do but to wait for our turn. Fill up the form then one by one interviewed and counselling then seminar how ironic seminar is conducted by a gay.... don't get me wrong but I think the best speaker should be a mother too but in fairness to him the seminar was good and when it comes to question and answer nobody asked, as if we all know what will happen but of course I ask politely with a shy tone how it feels then he mumble and say, "I don't know because hes gay and will never undergo BTL haha :) then I ask another question.

I ask him if there's side effect after the operation they all laugh because they all think silly things that they heard that the side effects are not being aggressive when it comes to sex and vice versa...then he said stop laughing she said how brave of me to ask that question of course theres nothing to do the ligation if your interested or not in sex.. he says that it is our last feeling of giving birth the labor process that we should treasure that moment honestly he only want to assure us not to back out. Exactly 10:30 am start the operation done by a surgeon boy doctor accompanied by a girl doctor whose names i forgot. Three person per batch to come inside the alley then one person every 15 minutes inside the room. While waiting we talked to each other to ease the tension some of us undergo monitoring because of high blood, then I realized how hard it is for the mother to be responsible go fight for the family. At long last first batch came out then I ask how they feel they told us its ok but I can see pain in their eyes trying to control their emotion not to discourage us..Then my turn came before the operation the mother leader told me to go to the bathroom and pee. At exactly 2;30 while lying on the bed they put alcohol and dub it on my lower part of my navel then inject the anesthesia. At first i felt they pull out something the two doctors keep on talking as if nothing happens i heard them telling stories exchanging words just to calm me. Then that strange feeling when they pull something it was so painful i felt that when i gave birth the feeling of labor but this time theres no baby to come out...it was so painful that I shouted for a while...I keep on looking at my side the clock and at the ceiling...Thanks God at 2:45 its done...then rest for 30 mins. Before going home. They gave me antibiotic and pain reliever that i take before going home...Outside i saw my husband gladly I thank God that i was with my husband with this journey that support really means a lot to me.. My recovery time 7 days exactly no more pain then went back to the center for follow up and take away a little thread that was still on me. Gladly and blessed to have my mother husband and children supports me during my 1 week recovery...  really being a mother is a challenging and a privilege to be called MOTHER...
